3 Visa Application
Currently, visa exemption have been suspended for the time being, as a border measures against novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and only the following persons can apply for a Japanese visa.
(A) Persons who hold a “Certificate for completion of ERFS registration" (foreign nationals newly entering Japan for a short-term stay (less than 90 days) for purposes including business or for a long term stay (Except from tourists)
Note:
・Tourists are NOT accepted for new entries.
・Organizations based in Japan are required to apply for the “Certificate for completion of registration" on the website of "Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System (ERFS)" in advance prior to a visa application.
(B) Persons in special exceptional circumstances
Please check the website of Immigration Services Agency for information on details of special exceptional circumstances cases.
■ Visa application with a ERFS Certificate
Required documents for application:
(1) Short-term Stay for Business (travelers staying less than 90 days in Japan)
(a) Nationals from countries or regions listed on the Visa Exemption List , are kindly asked to prepare the required documents listed below (e.g.: Greek nationals)
1. Visa application form (filled through)
2. One photo (45mm×35mm)
3. Valid Passport
4. A print-out of the ERFS Certificate (受付済証)
5. Resident permit issued by the Greek Government (※Non-Greek nationals only)
(b) Nationals from countries or regions which are NOT listed on the Visa Exemption List, are kindly asked to contact the JAPAN VISA INFORMATION HOTLINE (Tel:(+30) 215-7779826)
(2) Long-term Stay(with a Certificate of Eligibility) (travelers staying more than 90 days in Japan)
1. Visa application form (filled through)
2. One photo (45mm×35mm)
3. Valid Passport
4. Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
5. A print-out of the ERFS Certificate(受付済証)
6. Resident permit issued by the Greek Government (※Non-Greek nationals only)

■ Remarks:
・Citizens of Russia and NIS countries are required to submit TWO(2) visa application forms and TWO(2) photos.
・Multiple-entry Visas have been temporarily suspended. The Embassy is only accepting applications for Single-entry Visas.
・Depending on the purpose of travel or individual situations, applicants may be requested to submit additional supporting documents.
