Την Παρασκευή 10 Δεκεμβρίου, ο Πρέσβης κ. Nakayama Yasunori συναντήθηκε με τον Πρόεδρο της Ελληνικής Ολυμπιακής Επιτροπής (ΕΟΕ) κ. Σπύρο Καπράλο. Κατά τη διάρκεια της συνάντησης, ο κ. Nakayama ανασκοπώντας την επιτυχή διεξαγωγή των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων του Tokyo 2020 ευχαρίστησε τον κ. Καπράλο για τη συμβολή του στη προετοιμασία και πραγματοποίηση των Αγώνων με ειδική μνεία στην τελετή Αφής και Παράδοσης της Ολυμπιακής Φλόγας. Σε απάντηση, ο κ. Καπράλος εξέφρασε τα συγχαρητήριά του για την επιτυχημένη και ασφαλή διεξαγωγή των Αγώνων, που πραγματοποιήθηκαν με αναβολή ενός έτους, και μοιράστηκε τις δικές του εμπειρίες αλλά και αυτές της ελληνικής αποστολής από την Ιαπωνία. Τέλος, οι δύο πλευρές συζήτησαν το ενδεχόμενο περαιτέρω συνεργασίας στον τομέα του αθλητισμού, αξιοποιώντας την κληρονομιά των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων του Tokyo 2020.
Meeting of the Ambassador of Japan to the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Nakayama with the President of HOC, Mr. Capralos
On Friday December 10th, 2021, Ambassador Nakayama Yasunori met with the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) Mr. Spyros Capralos. At the meeting, Mr. Nakayama, reviewing the successful implementation of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and thanked Mr. Capralos for his contribution to the preparation and performance of the Games with a special mention of the Touch Relay and Delivery ceremony of the Olympic Flame. In response, Mr. Capralos expressed his congratulations for the successful and safe carrying-out of the Games, which took place after a one-year postponement, and shared his own experiences and those of the Greek delegation from Japan. Finally, the two sides discussed the possibility of further cooperation in the field of sports, utilizing the legacy of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
