[PRESS RELEASE] High-Level Japanese Political Delegation to Visit Thessaloniki International Fair and Address Japan Pavilion Programme

Thessaloniki, Greece — 3 September — A high-level delegation of Japanese political leaders will visit the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) as part of the Japan Pavilion programme, underscoring the growing ties between Greece and Japan and the importance of strengthening cooperation in industry, investment, innovation and economic development.
The participation of a high-level Japanese delegation, including Minister Kiuchi at the invitation of the Greek side, reflects the importance attached to the Japan–Greece relationship and to opportunities for closer cooperation between Japanese and Greek businesses, institutions and policymakers.
The delegation will include HE Mr. Minoru Kiuchi, Minister in Charge of Japan’s Growth Strategy, together with members of the Japanese House of Representatives Mr. Taro Kono, Mr. Masahiro Komura, Mr. Taro Honda, Mr. Shin Tsuchida, Mr. Daisuke Nishino and from the Senate, Mr. Kazuhiro Fujii.
During their visit, the Japanese political leaders will convey messages to participants at the Industrial Panel Discussion on the Japan Pavilion Main Stage, bringing perspectives from Japan on the future of industry, economic growth, technological innovation and international cooperation.
Minister Kiuchi will also deliver an address at the Grand Opening Ceremony on Saturday, marking a significant moment in the Japan Pavilion's programme at this year's Thessaloniki International Fair.
Minister Kiuchi, who currently oversees Japan's Growth Strategy alongside responsibilities for economic and fiscal policy and regulatory reform, has emphasized the importance of strengthening domestic investment and raising Japan's potential growth through public-private cooperation.
