Thank you for your interest in the clerical position vacancy for the cultural section of the Embassy of Japan in Greece. Please note that only short-listed candidates who passed the document screening will be contacted. The Embassy will not respond to any inquiry related to the selection.
The Embassy of Japan in Greece is seeking for eligible and qualified applicants for a clerical position in the Cultural Section of the Embassy.
1. Description
(1) Place of work: Cultural Section of the Embassy of Japan in Greece (46 Ethnikis Antistasseos, 152 31, Halandri, Athens)
(2) Starting date: Wednesday, July 12, 2017
(3) Working Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.
(4) Duties: Drafting event guides, website texts, posters, and etc. Planning and organizing cultural events. Coordinating with Greek
government, cultural organizations, and etc. Responding inquiries. Managing the Library in the Embassy. Following up
daily news on cultural affairs and Japan issues in Greek media. Any other tasks if required.
(5) Contract period: One year contract with the possibility to be renewed and extended (including a 3-month probation period).

2. Qualifications
(1) Language: Proficiency in English and Greek.
(2) Nationality: Greek national or holder of valid work permits in Greece. Male applicants must have completed military service.
(3) Skills: Excellent in writing skills in English and Greek. Excellent in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
(4) Others: Applicants must have at least two years of relevant working experience. Highly motivated to work on Japan in general and
cultural affairs. Show professionalism and integrity towards work. Team worker with good health.

3. How to Apply
(1) Fill in the designated application form (Click here to download) and send by e-mail to cultural@at.mofa.go.jp.
Any application form other than the above will not be accepted.
Applications by postal mail will not be accepted.
(2) The application form must be filled in English.
(3) Applications must arrive to the Embassy no later than 17:00 on Friday, June 9, 2017. Later arrivals will not be considered.
(4) CVs and other supporting documents can be submitted as long as they are sent as attachments to the designated application form.

(1) Any document submitted will not be returned for any reason.
(2) Only the short listed candidates will be contacted for a written test and an interview.
(3) The Embassy will not provide any information regarding the selection criteria and/or any other inquiry except the mentioned above.
