Thank you for your interest in a job opening at the Embassy of Japan. We are currently seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Ambassador’s residence. Recruitment
 

1. Position description

- Position: Ambassador’s resident staff
- Place of work : Ambassador’s Residence (P. Psychiko)
- Portfolio: Residence maintenance and administration duties. Organize and serving of official dinners.
- Period : One year (probation period)
- Date of contract: Beginning of December, 2021
- Pay Scale: Determined by Embassy’s criteria
 - Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday.
    * Must be able to work after the working hours and on holidays if required.  
- Holiday: Sunday and Greek national holidays. Annual leave is granted in accordance with the Embassy’s regulation.
  

2. Qualification

- Qualification: Academic ability equivalent to a high school degree.
- Language: Excellent command of Greek and English. Japanese proficiency is appreciated but not necessary.
- Skills: The following skills are greatly appreciated.
               a. Highly efficient technical maintenance of day to day residence issues.    
               b. Serving skills.
- Nationality: Greek national or holder of valid work permits in Greece.
   * Male applicants must have completed military service.
- Other: a. Positive attitude and high incentive towards work, personal communication skill.
              b. Ability to build trust-based relationship, and work collaboratively with others.     
              c. Certification of good health.
              d. Certification of clean criminal record.
              e. Produce official vaccination or infection certification or negative COVID-19 rapid test performed within 48 hours before the interview based on current law requirements. 
 
 
3. Job Description

- Residence maintenance and administration duties.
- Organise and serving of official dinners.
 
 

4. How to Apply

- The form must be filled in English.
- Applications must reach us no later than 15:00 on 14th October (Thursday) 2021.
- You may submit your CV or other supporting documents. All documents must be sent as attachment(s) to the application form.
 

5. Schedule
 
- Application period is from 4th to 14th of October.
- Shortlisted applicants are informed via email on 20th of October.
- An Interview is on either 1st or 2nd of November.
- Final result is informed via email or phone around 19th of November.
 

6. Necessary Documents

- Application form
- One of the following Certifications of COVID-19 (Submitted at the interview)
      a) a vaccination certificate 14 days after the second dose at the time of the interview
      b) a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 30 to 180 days.
      c) a negative certificate of a rapid test taken no longer than 48 hours before the interview.
- Health certification (Submitted at the first day of work)
-  Certification of no criminal record (Submitted at the first day of work)
 

7. Notes

- Submitted application documents will not be returned for any reason.
- Only the short listed candidates will be contacted for interview.
- Embassy does not provide any information regarding selection criteria and information other than described here.
